Seeking a City Engineer / Civil Engineer to join the leadership team and manage city engineering projects including infrastructure, utilities, transportation, construction management and street development, transportation, and more. This is an opportunity to join a city on a growth path and make a difference. Relocation assistance to an Indianapolis area college town will be provided.

City Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction of streets, parks, utilities, and all capital improvement projects
  • Work with developers, contractors, engineers to coordinate project development
  • Assist the Mayor with the master plans, major projects financing plan, and capital improvement program
  • Supervise the department and budget
  • Participate in the Sanitary District leadership

City Engineer Qualifications:

  • BS Civil Engineering or related degree required
  • PE license preferred; Will support those with PE intentions
  • 3 + years civil engineering experience
