Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

·       Development of mechanical designs that are created on time that meet or exceed specifications, function, and budgetary requirements

·       Performs detailing of component parts and checks the accuracy of all details to ensure that team members have the necessary information to produce components

·       Ensures proper weekly documentation of completed work and accurately reporting project milestone/gate status

·       Communicates project issues/concerns to the engineering supervisor on time

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) in a relevant field

·       4+ years’ experience in machine and machine tool design, as well as electrical and hydraulic knowledge

·       Competency in modeling software (i.e. SolidWorks & AutoCAD), Microsoft Windows, and Excel

·       Strong verbal/written communication ability and documentation/organizing skills, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and mathematical/analytical proficiency
