PLTW Engineering Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering Curriculum
  • Grow and inspire interest in the Engineering Pathway
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students.
  • Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.
  • Design and plan instructional materials based on curriculum guidelines.
  • Use various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
  • Offer support and guidance to students facing academic or personal challenges.
  • Promote a respectful and safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture.
  • Modify teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners.
  • Provide guidance on academic and career planning.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay informed about educational trends, best practices, and changes in curriculum.

PLTW Engineering Teacher Requirements:

  • Must be willing to get a teaching license
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Civil Engineering & Architecture background preferred
  • Love to teach and inspire high school students
