Our client is growing and they are looking for a P.E. that will directly support the Principal and Vice President of Engineering in the preparation of transportation planning traffic engineering studies and traffic-related design plans. The position requires a solid understanding of traffic engineering principles, standards, and practices, the ability to research standards, code requirements, and general guidelines and preferences, and an intermediate level of technical proficiency in working with transportation engineering and design software. Traffic/Project Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of engineering studies commensurate with the level of experience

• Train and support junior engineering staff in the preparation of transportation and traffic

engineering studies

• Serve as a liaison between clients and external stakeholders to ensure clear

understanding related to project needs and requirements

• Research standards, code requirements, and agency guidelines and preferences

• Perform intermediate transportation modeling

• Prepare a variety of design concepts/plans consistent with the level of experience

• Field data collection

• Perform quality control reviews

• Represent the company by attending public/private client meetings and professional events

Traffic/Project Engineer Qualifications

• BSCE in Transportation or related

• 5+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience

• Basic level proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

• Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with SYNCHRO, CUBE Voyager, FSUTMS

• PE (Professional Engineer)

• Experience stamping drawings
