As a recognized leader in the manufacturing industry, we take pride in our teams, our customers, our service standards, and our products. We are searching for an experienced Plant Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of our cement manufacturing plant.

**This position will be located in the Central, TX. area, and we are open to candidates who are interested in relocation to Texas.

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the management and operations of the cement plant
  • Proactively manage health & safety of employees to support a safety culture aligned with the core company values
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote environmentally sustainable practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute annual operating plans
  • Manages the overall operation to ensure timely production and distribution of products within quality standards, high uniformity and optimum production cost
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures such as support of guidelines, performance training, and monitoring compliance
  • Actively engages in labor relations management, including addressing grievances and serving as a member of the contract negotiations team
  • Serves as the company’s ambassador in the community and promotes the Company’s goodwill interests in community activities and well-being.

Plant Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. MBA is highly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the cement industry including customers, competitors, quality standards and marketing. Hands-on knowledge of the complete manufacturing process of cement
  • At least 10 years of experience working directly within a unionized manufacturing or mining environment in progressive roles of leadership is required.
  • Managing P&Ls, budgets, analyze cost reports, and forecasting. Labor and employment law, and general business operations
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local governances pertaining to environmental and safety regulations. Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations, and knowledge of ISO management systems is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is required.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, possessing sound judgement and discretion in decision making, highly analytical, results oriented with solid communication skills. Strong problem solving/root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work with teams and people with a commitment to a Total Quality environment.
