CNC Programmer Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of industry experience
  • Experience in machine tool operation & CNC programming. 5 Axis is preferable
  • Relevant degree qualification or similar qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Experience using CAD/CAM packages, Ideally Autodesk Inventor & EdgeCAM 
  • Strong follow-through
  • Self-directed initiative
  • Excellent communication; both verbal and written

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:

  • Deliver turnkey solutions to the customer from technical presales to customer handover and sign off
  • Key areas of the work include Customer liaison, Tooling and Fixturing design using a 3d CAD Package
  • Programming CNC control systems using CAM software
  • Knowledge transfer to the customer and delivering training sessions
  • Must be confident presenting about technical topics and delivering customer training.
