Join our national hotel development and operations team as the Hotel Chief Engineer. If you have extensive hands-on. "in the field" mechanical experience and are an up-and-coming Assistant Hotel Chief Engineer or Senior Hotel Engineer, ready to take the next step, apply today!

Hotel Chief Engineer Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience as an Engineering Manager in a high-rise hotel (250 rooms+)
  • 5+ years experience with commercial mechanical systems, MEP documents, high-rise fire suppression systems 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; trade certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and reservation software
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and manage personnel and budget

Hotel Chief Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering department operations, including maintenance, construction, and utilities
  • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance system
  • Manage maintenance records and coordinate service calls
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and the community on technical matters
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Implement energy conservation programs and budgetary planning
