A stable and growth oriented manufacturing firm is looking for a Purchasing Manager. The company is primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. This position leads the daily workflow and schedules of the Purchasing Department to ensure supplies are available in accordance with Sales and purchase orders and hold ongoing negotiations with various vendors/suppliers.

Purchasing Manager-Manufacturing Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with other departments and management to meet required needs for products, materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and present merchandise cost reports and current market conditions
  • Determine current and future material availability, delivery times, and other factors
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders
  • Maintain and build relationships and price negotiations with current and future suppliers

Purchasing Manager-Manufacturing Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven negotiation, time management, organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the manufacturing process
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • 3+years of related experience

Purchasing Manager-Manufacturing Benefits:
