We are seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to lead banquet culinary operations at a premier luxury property. This role oversees all event food production, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction while leading and developing a high-performing culinary team.
Banquet Key Responsibilities
- Lead banquet menu planning, preparation, and execution with a minimum of $5M in banquet revenue
- Supervise and mentor Sous Chefs, Banquet Cooks, and Stewards
- Partner with Events and Sales teams on menus, tastings, and BEO execution
- Manage food costs, labor scheduling, inventory, and overall P&L performance
- Oversee invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
- Support leadership development initiatives and oversee the employee dining program
Banqeut Chef Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Banquet Chef or Banquet Chef, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- Proven leadership in high-volume banquet production
- Strong financial acumen, including food cost control, labor management, and budgeting
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Events and F&B leadership
- ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Banquet Chef Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,000–$100,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
