Our full-service luxury resort is seeking a Director of Grounds to oversee the physical grounds of our Forbes 5-star hotel.

Grounds Manager Responsibilities

Supervise the operational maintenance activities of the grounds and landscape areas
Managing, hiring, training, and scheduling department staff
Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and cared for
Maintaining a close relationship with the facilities department regarding equipment maintenance and repairs
Developing a new methodology for increasing efficiency
Preparing and adhering to the annual groundskeeping budget

Grounds Manager Qualifications:

Shall hold, or shall acquire within 90 days of employment, an active Commercial Pesticide Applicators License or Registered Technician Certification.
Minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in estate/fine garden management, relating to a large, detail-oriented, horticulturally diverse luxury properties.
Be familiar and comfortable with the operation and maintenance of standard landscape small engine equipment (line trimmer, motorized shears, blower, chainsaw, etc.) and with the operation and maintenance of standard commercial mowing equipment.
Have a high level of plant identification skills and practical horticultural knowledge.
Be available for weekend work.
Experience with groundskeeping budgeting, report preparation and monitoring of costs
Computer knowledge and the ability to navigate through the various software applications
