We are a well-established and growing manufacturer seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team on first shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled trades professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, problem-solving, and producing high-quality tooling that supports manufacturing operations.

Our facility specializes in metal fabrication, stamping, and extrusion-related manufacturing, offering a stable work environment, modern equipment, and long-term career growth.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Overtime Available

Compensation

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Typical range: $25.00 – $32.00+ per hour
  • Additional compensation may be considered for highly qualified candidates

Position Summary

The Tool & Die Maker will plan, layout, construct, alter, repair, and maintain complex tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, molds, machine attachments, and related equipment. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, precision machining experience, and the ability to work independently on intricate tooling projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, modify, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, fixtures, molds, and gauges
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Plan machine operations and determine proper tooling methods
  • Perform precision machining, fitting, assembly, calibration, and adjustment work
  • Execute complex machine setups and machining operations
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements
  • Assist with development and prototype tooling projects when needed
  • Select appropriate materials and determine manufacturing methods
  • Support and mentor less experienced tool room personnel
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Tool & Die Apprenticeship strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of Tool & Die experience preferred
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Experience operating standard tool room machinery and equipment
  • Skilled in precision measuring instruments, gauges, fixtures, and clamping devices
  • Ability to perform complex tool, die, and fixture repairs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • CNC machining and lathe experience is highly desirable

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform hands-on tool room work throughout the shift
  • Manual dexterity required for precision assembly and machining operations
