The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the restaurant. This role oversees all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial results, and a positive team culture. The General Manager will lead by example, develop staff, maintain operational standards, and drive sales while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, hospitality, and safety.

Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and labor regulations.

Conduct regular facility inspections to maintain cleanliness and operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop restaurant team members and managers.

Create and maintain a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.

Manage employee scheduling to ensure proper staffing levels while controlling labor costs.

Foster employee engagement and retention through effective leadership and communication.

Financial Management

Manage restaurant budgets, P&L statements, and key financial metrics.

Drive revenue growth through sales-building initiatives and community engagement.

Control food, beverage, labor, and operating costs to meet profitability goals.

Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing to minimize waste and shortages.

Analyze operational reports and implement action plans to improve performance.

Guest Experience

Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

Ensure team members consistently deliver outstanding hospitality.

Address guest feedback proactively and implement improvements when needed.

Build relationships within the local community to enhance the restaurant's reputation and visibility.
