Accounts Payable Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in accounts payable, including supervision or management
- Experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Great Plains is a plus

Accounts Payable Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process for vendors, contractors, and business partners
- Manage and train AP staff and the external outsourcing vendor
- Continuously assess, execute, and improve policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Resolve vendor inquiries and maintain accurate, up-to-date AP documentation
- Support month-end and quarterly closing activities, including posting accruals and preparing reconciliations
- Provide required documentation and support for audits and tax filings
- Foster a culture of service, precision, and accountability within the AP function
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice disputes and ensure timely processing
