Assistant General Manager – High-Volume, Full-Service Restaurant

Location: Indianapolis, IN

A well-established, nationally recognized full-service restaurant brand is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support operations at one of its flagship Indianapolis locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality leader who thrives in high-volume environments and is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

This concept is known for its from-scratch kitchen, strong bar program, and energetic dining atmosphere. The ideal candidate brings a balance of hands-on leadership, business acumen, and a genuine love for hospitality.

What You’ll Do

Support day-to-day restaurant operations with a visible, hands-on floor presence
Assist in driving sales, profitability, and cost controls (labor, food, beverage, and controllables)
Help hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performing management and hourly team
Foster a culture focused on hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
Ensure consistent execution of food quality, service standards, and brand expectations
Assist in scheduling, inventory management, compliance, and overall operational systems
Build community presence and maintain strong guest relationships

What We’re Looking For

2–3+ years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or similar leadership role in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
Strong financial acumen and experience supporting P&L management
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Experience with scratch kitchens and bar-driven environments preferred
High standards for food quality, cleanliness, and guest service
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
