Director of Sales and Catering Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior restaurant management experience required (independent restaurant experience highly valued; high-volume preferred)
- Knowledge of scratch kitchen operations and large batch recipe preparation
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable
- Solid grasp of service standards, steps of service, and bar operations
- ServSafe and/or alcohol service certification preferred
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Director of Sales and Catering Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in independent restaurant settings
- Comfort working alongside both front-of-house and culinary teams
Director of Sales and Catering Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop front-of-house team members including hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Oversee daily operations, including floor management, table turns, bar operations, and service execution
- Partner with kitchen leaders to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house
- Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor costs to support business needs
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance management decisions
- Support bar inventory, ordering, and product management as needed
- Ensure all food safety, alcohol service, and health regulations are met
