Responsibilities for Kitchen Manager:

  • Responsible for hiring all kitchen staff
  • Conduct training on restaurants procedures and expectations
  • Develop a schedule for kitchen staff to ensure coverage and maximize operational efficiencies
  • Coordinate with General Manager and the Chef on the menu offerings
  • Establish relationships with vendors
  • Place food and supply orders as necessary
  • Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and meets all regulations.
  • Ensure the food is prepared to order and in a timely manner.

Qualifications for Kitchen Manager:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Valid ServSafe certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the kitchen staff.
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Proficient with budgeting
  • Skilled negotiator
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, and frequent late nights.
  • Expert in hiring kitchen staff for a casual/upscale casual dining restaurant
