Sous Chef

Sous Chef Requirements:

• You must have 1-2 years of similar experience in full-service casual dining
• You should have scratch kitchen experience
• You should be able to manage all culinary operations and positions
• You should be knowledgeable about ordering, receiving, and inventory

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

• You will promote, act, and work in a manner consistent with company policy and goals
• You will monitor sanitation and proper hold-temperatures, and ensure team members are following protocols
• You will control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes, and waste control procedures
• You will supervise and/or coordinate the culinary team engaged in food preparation
• You will assist the Kitchen Manager to oversee the continuous training of kitchen employees on kitchen equipment, utensils, cleanliness, sanitation practices, first-aid, proper lifting and carrying techniques, and handling of hazardous materials
• You will prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions
