Job Summary
Family-owned resort on the North Shore is looking for a General Manager to run our operation. This person will have the autonomy to execute the operation. The right candidate will have some sort of experience in a membership environment whether it is a country club or yacht club. Excellent guest service is what you will be providing.
An Ideal General Manager Candidate Will Have:
- A passion for hospitality and will be guest-focused, incredibly friendly and possess a strong hands-on work ethic
- Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Experience with seasonally changing regional cuisine and trends
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, including food handling safety training
General Manager Requirements:
- Significant experience as Hospitality Manager, General Manager, or Club Manager
- Hands-on experience in customer service or sales
- Significant food and beverage management experience
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Solid understanding of hospitality procedures, up-to-date trends, and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Knowledge of quality standards for restaurant, hotel, functions, and pool operations
- Proficient in MS Office, Micros or POS system, Inn Quest or similar hotel software
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
