Associate Civil Engineer (PE) – Plans Examiner Benefits
- Comprehensive Benefit Package
- PTO – 140 hours
- Sick Pay/ Holiday Pay
- Salary $105 – 128k
- Manager-level position
- Generous employer match on 401a deferred compensation plan – up to 10.4%
- CalPERS benefits 2.5% at 55 – Classic formula
Associate Civil Engineer (PE) – Plans Examiner – Education and Experience
- 3+ years of Civil Engineering experience including plan checker/examiner
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Active California Professional Engineer License
- Active Driver’s License
- ICC Preferred or Required within the first year of employment
- Certified CASp is highly desirable
Associate Civil Engineer (PE) – Plans Examiner Responsibilities
- Review and interpret plans and specifications for residential, commercial, and industrial construction; determine compliance with relevant codes and regulations; approve or recommend corrections to plans; make other code-related recommendations as appropriate
- Prepare detailed plans/specifications and written reports
- Monitor, prioritize, and perform plan and calculation reviews for both new construction and remodels
- Meet with the Team to explain City land development and building requirements policies.
- Resolve discrepancies between plans and field conditions.
- Review plans and specifications prepared by consulting engineers and subdivides
