Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of food-service staff
  • Hire, lead, train, & motivate culinary team
  • Monitor the quality of products and services produced
  • Manage orders, inventory, and costs of ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain health standards for raw and finished products as well as safety and sanitation standards for kitchen equipment and preparation areas

Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen environment
  • 1-2 years experience in a kitchen leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of all food safety practices 
  • Ability to lead a team of varying abilities and aptitudes with integrity and respect
  • Ability to thrive and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
