Head Restaurant Chef-Modern Coastal Mexican (RELO TO SW FL)

We are looking for a Head Chef, responsible for managing the restaurant culinary team within a brand-new resort. This restaurant location offers fantastic Latin/Mexican Cuisine and experience in this field is required.

Head Chef Responsibilities:

–Create menus based on seasonality, staying current on trending food products and presentation, and then execute them flawlessly

-Create menus based on seasonality, staying current on trending food products and presentation

-Participate in marketing events directly related to their specific restaurant

-Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff

-Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, implementing, and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity to offer extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a culture of smiles, retention of luxury standards

Head Chef Requirements:

–Latin/Mexican cuisine experience required

-Strong advanced culinary knowledge and skills, ability to teach others

– Knowledge of Mexican/Latin food operations and cuisine

– Advanced competency with food safety procedures and guidelines

– Bachelor’s degree preferred in culinary arts, management or a combination of related experience and education

– 5+ years’ work experience in a management position at a high-volume location

-Advanced knowledge of world cuisines, including sauces, knife skills and cooking methods.

-ServSafe manager certification
