Job Summary

We are seeking a Survey Crew Lead to join a family-oriented residential construction company in the Denver market. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for leading a department, coordinating work, and building customer relations.

Survey Crew Lead Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of field and in-office tasks associated with land surveying for residential projects.
  • Oversee and manage survey crew ensuring accurate calculations and recording of field data
  •  Research legal documents, survey records, maps, deeds, and land titles to clarify information about property boundaries
  •  Review job specifications and plan fieldwork methods and costs
  • Work independently or as part of a crew and supervise Instrument personnel
  • Site staking, Boundary plats, Topographic surveying, and more
  • Oversee and maintain survey equipment and follow proper safety procedures

Survey Crew Lead Qualifications:

  • High School or GED, 5+ years of surveying experience
  •  Licensed Professional Land Surveyor preferred or willing to obtain in the near future
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of survey practices and procedures, and state and company field procedures
  •  Knowledge of the permitting process for the regional jurisdictions including Denver, Jefferson County, and others
  •  Experience operating survey instrumentation required for the collection of survey data
  •  Experience performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, ALTA surveys, and Mortgage Title Inspections
  •  Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication, customer relationship building, and project management skills.
