Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Controller to join our team-oriented culture at a growing packaging facility. The Controller will be a valuable part of the executive team, being responsible for financial management and business enhancement.
Responsibilities:
- Management of accounting dept activities and the company's general ledger, including the cost of sales, inventory valuation, AP/AR, Payroll reconciliation, assets accounted
- Use best practices and implement continuous improvements
- Timely monthly/quarterly/annual closings, and preparing company financial reporting package
- Prepare Financial Analysis Reports with variance explanations
- Prepare consolidated financial statements to be reviewed by an outside firm and assist with managing tax compliance
- Serve as key accounting and business resource
- Maintain relationships with lenders and banks
Qualifications:
- BA Accounting / Finance
- 10 yrs hands-on accounting, 5 years of management
- US GAAP knowledge
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Strong ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, reporting, consolidation, and product costing
- Manufacturing experience including cost accounting, working capital, and inventory
