Gourmet Foods Buyer

As the Gourmet Foods Buyer, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with dynamic interdepartmental teams, including Sales, Culinary, and Finance, to strategically and efficiently procure top-tier grocery and market goods. With a focus on innovation and excellence, you will oversee the entire procurement process, from inventory management to purchase orders, while maintaining exceptional relationships with both local and national vendors.

Gourmet Foods Buyer Responsibilities:

– Spearhead inventory management initiatives to ensure optimal stock levels.

– Develop and implement purchase orders to streamline the procurement process.

– Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts, approve new suppliers, and manage vendor relations.

– Foster open and productive communication channels with vendors to maximize efficiency.

Gourmet Foods Buyer Requirements: 

– Possess a minimum of 3 years of Food/Gourmet Grocery Purchasing Manager experience, demonstrating your extensive knowledge and expertise in the field.

– Showcase your ability to navigate a vast array of food ingredients and non-food products, understanding their application and preparation methods.

– Demonstrate prior experience working in a restaurant or kitchen setting, providing you with a deep understanding of the culinary industry.

– Excel at utilizing inventory software and possess advanced proficiency in Excel.

– Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with both local and national vendors.

– Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
