Our team services the southeast Michigan area with partners in audit, tax, and management advisory services. We are equipped to serve individuals and organizations ranging from single-ownership businesses to performing certified audits for multi-division organizations. We have particular strengths working with clients in manufacturing, retail, cannabis accounting & tax services, and non-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, business, and trust tax returns.
- Recognize complex technical issues, evaluate facts efficiently, and use strategic decision-making skills to improve processes by developing and implementing best practices.
- Manage planning and engagement activity and follow through to achieve results.
- A diversified range of accounting and tax services in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance, technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards and provides timely feedback.
- Builds relationships and interacts with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
- Develop, motivate, and train team members.
- Develop professional relationships in the community.
- Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- CPA firm experience
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and budgets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate at all levels both within the client organization and the firm
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Enthusiasm for helping others be successful
- Out-of-the-box thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable being the last line of defense before returns are filed

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Do NOT need a CPA license BUT must have a strong knowledge of current tax laws
