Hotel Controller Opportunity – Exciting Role in Hospitality Management

A leading hospitality management company in North America, renowned for success in hotel ownership and operation, is currently searching for an accomplished Hotel Controller for one of its prominent properties in Kitchener, Ontario. Encouraging individual growth as a cornerstone of both personal and team triumphs, this dynamic company proudly owns and manages multiple properties across the Eastern United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute comprehensive accounting duties within the full-service hotel framework.
• Safeguard the hotel's assets.
• Compile monthly financial statements.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
• Formulate annual budgets and weekly projections.
• Establish and monitor proper internal controls.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in negotiations and renewals of service and maintenance contracts.
• Manage the checkbook purchase order system.
• Ensure timely billing and effective collection activities for Accounts Receivables.
• Review the daily flash report and generate daily revenue and labor reports.
• Produce weekly/monthly corporate reports.
• Supervise all accounting functions, ensuring the punctual and accurate reporting of financial information.

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting documents.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Extensive experience as a Controller in a full-service hotel.
• Advanced Excel skills are a prerequisite.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
