We are working with a client who is seeking a talented and skilled Director of Finance to join their dynamic team! Our client is a high-end grocery & retail store with a fabulous reputation and a positive work culture.

The Finance Director will oversee both the Finance and IT departments and work closely with the General Manager and members of the strategic – leadership team to develop and implement strategic goals and uphold company values & culture. They will also be responsible for all accounting and finance functions, short and long-term planning, insurance & liability, preparations of financials, bank & vendor relations, department expenses and overall general functionality of the department. This is a full time, on-site role.

Director of Finance Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in senior leadership in a finance department. The ideal candidate has a hospitality, grocery, and/or retail finance background. Candidates must have strong tenure & clear career progression. Must have experience working in consumer goods
• Ability to oversee both the Finance and IT department/s
• MBA, CMA, or CPA degree and/or certifications, or equivalent experience
• Must possess a high level of detail orientation, project management, and organizational ability
• Proficiency in all areas of corporate accounting, including a strong understanding of local and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Experience working with unions is a PLUS
• Strong leadership skillset with the ability to work efficiently with many different departments and department heads, holding them accountable to achieving financial goals
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and GL software.
• Familiarity with Labor relations and Union contracts is ideal
