A national Hotel Management Group seeks an experienced Hotel Conferences Services Manager with Marriott experience to support the Sales Team and exceed Guest expectations by ensuring all meetings and events are executed with the highest level of service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tenure at full-service properties. We are looking for a Hotel Ambassador and Team Builder to establish a high level of rapport with clients. Benefits:

  • Salary – $60,000 to $70,000
  • Aggressive Commission Program based on upselling and last-minute sales to enhance the Guest's meeting or event

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales and catering team with administrative duties and tasks
  • Act as a liaison between the hotel and the client to ensure a successful event
  • Monitor and manage room blocks according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue
  • Maintain strong client relations and ensure that group specifications are communicated and executed for a successful event for the client and attendees
  • Review sales contracts as well as other important information, i.e., room block, cutoff date, special concessions, and attrition clauses, and validate with the client
  • Provide personal attention to customers from the time of definite contract until financial obligations are fulfilled and ensure guest satisfaction of group needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Conference Services experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience
  • Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience
  • Past Marriott Hotel Sales Manager experience a plus
  • 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
  • Detail oriented
