We're seeking a Financial Controller with 5+ years of hospitality accounting experience to join our expanding team. This detail-oriented individual will manage financial operations across multiple locations, optimize costs, and implement financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on communication, problem-solving, and innovative financial solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, MBA, or CPA required
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proficient in restaurant/hospitality accounting and software
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP
- Strong problem-solving skills and a big-picture perspective
- Self-directed and proactive with a team-first mentality
- Excellent communication skills
Compensation:
- Base salary: $95,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience
- Annual bonus

Responsibilities:
- Financial Expertise: Serve as the in-house finance expert for the team.
- Accounting: Manage city revenue and expenses through QuickBooks, producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with HR and Payroll Provider to ensure accurate allocations and bank transfers for centralized payroll.
- Financial Systems & Reporting: Implement and refine standard operating procedures for data collection and reporting, including bank account reconciliation and P&L analysis. Lead quarterly and annual financial reviews and improve reporting efficiency.
- Financial Strategy: Consult with senior management to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and business optimization.
- Compliance: Ensure federal and state regulatory compliance with tax laws, retirement funds, and social security benefits.
- Tax Management: File sales tax and federal tax documents, oversee tax firm for 1099 issuance, and manage tax-related notices.
