General Manager Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven success in high-volume, fine dining, or upscale dining establishments.
  • Cuisine: Preference for experience in steak and/or seafood cuisine with a track record of managing restaurants with annual sales exceeding $5 million.
  • Hands-On Approach: Thrive in an environment where 80% of your time is spent on the floor, engaging with guests and staff, while dedicating 20% of your time to administrative duties.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage a dynamic team.
  • Guest-Centric: A dedication to being GUEST DRIVEN and delivering extraordinary guest experiences.

General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction: Graciously and courteously interact with guests, ensuring they receive top-notch service from the moment they arrive. Greeting, seating, and engaging with tables while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Operations Management: Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of the dining room, kitchen, and staff, ensuring all elements come together seamlessly to create a memorable dining experience.
  • Financial Acumen: Utilize your P & L and cost management experience to drive profitability and make informed decisions that benefit the restaurant.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop your team by conducting interviews, onboarding new hires, creating schedules, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a consistently professional and pleasant demeanor, setting a positive example for the entire team.
