We are seeking an experienced New York State Certified Special Education Teacher to join our client's non-profit organization. They have a true passion for helping children and strive to make sure that every child in their organization receives access to educational studies, ABA, speech, and occupational therapies. This is a full-time 12-month position

7:50 am to 5:15 pm Monday-Friday

ABA Instructor Responsibilities

• Successfully implement programs based on applied behavior analysis, occupational therapy, and speech and language pathology.
• Complete intake and ongoing assessments of students
• Accurately collect all necessary data on student's performance, behaviors, and progress
• Led and participate in group instruction and activities
• Implement behavior intervention plans
• Participate in all necessary team meetings including staff meetings and training sessions
• Supervise and train teaching assistants, student teachers, and interns
• Ensure parent communication is maintained and progress reports are completed

ABA Instructor Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Birth-2nd Grade, TSSLD, TSHH, LMSW, LCSW certified) OR LMSW, LCSW, NP, RN, LPN
• TSSLD (Certified Teacher for Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) is a plus
• One year of experience as a led teacher in a special education classroom
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player
• A true passion for working with children
