Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Foster an environment of excellence and collaboration by providing strategic guidance and leadership to the restaurant team.
- Impeccable Service: Uphold impeccable quality standards, ensure seamless service, and enhance operational efficiency in day-to-day activities.
- Client Relationships: Develop and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and driving repeat business.
- Collaborative Planning: Regularly meet with the Executive Chef and Bar Director to ensure both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) employees are informed and trained on menu additions or specials.
- Business Growth: Formulate and implement business strategies to boost revenue growth and achieve financial objectives.
- Culinary Excellence: Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to design extraordinary menus that reflect the culinary vision and exceed guest expectations.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor employees, cultivating a motivated and high-achieving workforce.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, market competition, and customer preferences to drive innovation and enhance the guest experience.
- Profit Optimization: Effectively manage inventory, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operational Expertise: In-depth understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and compliance.
- Hospitality Experience: 3-5 yrs proven expertise as a General Manager or in a senior management position within the hospitality industry, preferably in high-end or fine dining in NYC.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage and inspire a talented team.
- Client Focus: Exceptional customer service abilities and a track record of nurturing strong client relationships.
- Financial Acumen: Strong business acumen covering financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging effectively with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Outstanding problem-solving capabilities, approaching challenges proactively and with solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of various software tools, including presentation slides, spreadsheets, order processing systems, project management, and databases.
