Winery Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of winery operations, including production and cellar management
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production and revenue goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Manage and lead a diverse team of 10 direct reports
  • Coordinate grape harvesting, crushing, fermentation, blending, and bottling processes
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of wine, packaging materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safety, labeling, and quality control
  • Plan and execute engaging wine-tasting experiences for visitors, providing in-depth knowledge of wines and the winemaking process.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute promotional events, wine clubs, and distribution strategies.

Winery Managers Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Viticulture, Enology, Business Management, or related field is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in winery operations, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Strong knowledge of winemaking techniques, grape varietals, and industry trends
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to oversee various aspects of winery operations simultaneously
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to wine production and sales
  • Passion for wine, solid attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional products and experiences
