We are seeking an experienced Senior Road Design Project Engineer with a particular emphasis on hydrology for a transportation-based Civil Engineering firm in the Indianapolis area. If you have specific experience with hydraulic, drainage, stormwater management, and flood control this is a great opportunity for you!
Senior Road Design Project Engineer (Hydrology) Responsibilities
- Designs stormwater, flood, hydraulic, and drainage management systems for transportation projects
- Compiles technical reports to meet INDOT standards
- Provides project management support and leads and/or mentors other team members
- Provides engineering services specializing in soil erosion and floodplain/floodway delineations (FEMA)
- Completes conceptual models within Hydraulic Engineering Center – River Analysis System (HEC-RAS)
- Communicates with clients to provide status updates and ensure compliance with specifications
Senior Road Design Project Engineer (Hydrology) Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- 5+ years of relevant hydraulic experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana (or able to obtain within 6 months)
- Experienced with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, TR55, TR20, ArcGIS, HY-8, AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, SS, Microstation, and MS Office software platforms
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills

- Salary Range: $90-120K (DOE)
