We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to help design and execute high-quality plates. We are passionate about positive and supportive leadership!

SOUS CHEF QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 2+ Years of French cuisine experience
  • NY Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to utilize software programs such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Polished personal presentation
  • Communicates information effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend continuously and lift 30+ pounds

SOUS CHEF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain standards for service & quality
  • Manage labor and food costs
  • Assist with creating recipes and menus with Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef
  • Complete weekly products orders
  • Train new hires on the expectations of the kitchen
  • Conduct line checks multiple times per day to ensure DOH compliance
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure the team is prepared
  • Manage cooks and porters in their daily responsibilities
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the GM or Senior Level Leadership
