A stable and established Excavating Contractor on the North Shore is looking for an Estimator-(Civil and Site Excavation). This company works a mix of Public and Private work, utilities, site development, and Civil Excavation. So, if you are an Estimator that is highly organized, detailed, and tech-savvy, please read on!
Estimator-(Civil and Site Excavation) Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge of Excavating, Civil and Site work, and wet and dry utility installation
- Complete understanding of bid documents, takeoff, material, and labor costs to establish the complete cost of the project
- Ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and work under pressure with project deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and in-house staff, Engineers, Vendors, and Sub-Contractors
Estimator-(Civil and Site Excavation) Requirements:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field preferred
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in a similar role with an Excavator performing Heavy Civil Estimating
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans, prints, documents, specs, and geotechnical reports
- Experience with wet and dry utilities, and water, sewer, and drain takeoffs
- Proficient with Carlson Takeoff, Autocad or HeavyBid
