Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities
- Select, train, and develop restaurant staff, as well as other HR functions as needed, including discipline and terminations
- Lead and motivate team with a high degree of professionalism and accountability
- Engage with guests and set the example for hospitality-driven service; resolve issues and complaints
- Oversee scheduling and maintain labor costs within budget
- Maintain restaurant profitability, including minimizing costs and growing sales
- Oversee team to consistently offer exceptional food quality and speed of service
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a restaurant General Manager in a high-volume concept focused on service
- Ability to work well in a high-volume, pressured environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication ability
- Proven history of success in managing financials
- Ability to develop positive team culture and a supportive work environment that encourages success
- Catering & delivery experience a plus
