Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Schedule:

• Full time
• Monday to Friday
• Hybrid remote work schedule

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Issue timely and accurate financial statements
• Evaluate and select systems and processes to support finance, accounting and business reporting needs
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Develop a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain a system of controls over the accounting systems and transactions
• Manage the production of the annual budget and interim forecasts
• Partner with functional departments to develop and maintain critical operating metrics and reports
• Establish and maintain a financial reporting package for management
• Provide financial analyses as needed for key business decisions
• Day-to-day management of the Company’s banking relationship and debt service
• Bank reconciliations and cash management
• Day-to-day accounting for all incoming shipments, outgoing shipments, raw goods inventory, work-in-process inventory, and finished product inventory
• Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
• Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely and accurate manner
• Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing
• Oversee administration of employee benefits plans
• Oversee administration of business insurance programs

Accounting Manager Qualifications: 

• Prior relevant experience leading the finance and accounting at small to medium business.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of progressively responsible and relevant experience
• Preference for CPA/CMA
• Must be a team player
• Must be highly energetic and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
