Job Summary
Excellent opportunity for a dynamic Health Care Administrator to work in our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. The successful candidate must have a Georgia Nursing Home Administrator's license or get one if relocating. Prior long-term care experience in a Skilled Nursing Center, Memory Care, and/or Assisted Living Community is required!
Health Care Administrator Responsibilities:
- Leads several department functions including Director of Nursing, Admissions, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and physical therapy
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission
- Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial, and custodial team, and ensure that they work together effectively.
- Hire (and fire) staff and employees at every level
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed
- Provide regular safety and compliance training
- Create and maintain a budget
- Oversee billing and set fees
- Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families
Health Care Administrator Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree
- Must have knowledge of MDS 3.0
- Minimum of 4 years as a Healthcare Administrator
- Current Nursing Home Administrator License in Georgia
- prior experience in staff development (i.e.: hiring, coaching, performance management, discipline, and delegation)
- Knowledgeable in State and Federal Regulations as well as Survey Preparedness
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to facilitate group
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new applications
Health Care Administrator:
- A base salary $120,000-140,000 (DOE)
- Annual bonus
