Our client is HIRING! As a Diesel Equipment Technician, you will perform service and repairs on material handling and/or aerial equipment either in a shop setting or on customer sites to ensure that equipment continues to run according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Mechanic Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• High School diploma or GED required
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• 3+ Years experience in forklift repair or related industry
• Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred
• Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, etc..
• Welding and/or fabrications skills and /or experience preferred

Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair equipment, including liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems, etc.
• Rebuild and/or repair all components and systems in industrial material handling and aerial equipment and other related equipment
• Per company safety guidelines, properly block chock and chain equipment and disassemble equipment as needed to facilitate major component removal and repair
• Perform routine and operational maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run according to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on all components and systems

Forklift & Material Handling Equipment Mechanic Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must furnish own tools
• Raod Techs must have availability to work 24/7 on-call schedule as needed (they have a rotation schedule so should not be too often)
• Road Techs100% travel to customer sites (Work truck provided)
