Are you a skilled Power Generation Mechanic able to do repairs, overhauls, and maintain power generators and/or related equipment used in standby or off-grid power applications? They want YOU to join their team

Power Generation Mechanic Requirements:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school and two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or fellow employees of the company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • DOT Certified Drivers License and/or be able to obtain a DOT Certification
  • Guild Membership, when applicable

Power Generation Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using sophisticated electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Discusses findings with customers, proposing solutions that optimize customer satisfaction while maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations required and anticipated repair hours needed to complete repair. Utilizes electronic procedure guides and tools to determine the best route to repair.
  • Travel to the customer’s location to perform repairs when necessary.
  •  Develop accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and/or customer invoices. Tags removed parts consistent with AFA procedures.
  • Responds promptly to after-hour call-out service at the request of management.
  • Takes responsibility and leads small groups of technicians when requested by management to accomplish assigned tasks.
