Executive Chef

Now hiring an Executive Chef to take the helm of the culinary program at one of the city's most prominent high energy casual/upscale casual restaurant destinations. This pivotal position is perfect for a forward-thinking, detail-driven, and imaginative culinary professional with a background in upscale catering and large-scale casual dining. We’re seeking a dynamic kitchen leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, motivates their team, elevates the guest experience, and brings creative energy to a high-volume, flagship venue.

Executive Chef Responsibilities

  • Lead all culinary operations with a focus on high-volume à la carte service and large-scale catering
  • Hire, train, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold brand standards and ensure smooth service
  • Design and manage recipe execution, portion control, and plating presentation
  • Maintain cost-effective purchasing and food cost management practices
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor team performance, prepare operational reports, and implement improvements based on trends
  • Manage kitchen scheduling, labor costs, and inventory accuracy
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and creativity within the back-of-house

Executive Chef Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of progressive culinary experience, with a minimum of 3 years in an Executive Chef role in a high-volume setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, team-first approach
  • Solid understanding of food and labor cost controls, inventory systems, and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and kitchen management tools
  • Formal culinary education or relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe) preferred but not required
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and event-driven shifts
