Connecticut | Company Vehicle Provided | $30-$40/hr + Overtime + On-Call Premium Pay

Do you enjoy troubleshooting restaurant equipment and keeping busy restaurant operations running smoothly? We're seeking a hands-on Restaurant Maintenance Technician to support approximately 30 restaurant locations throughout Connecticut and occasionally Westchester County, NY.

If you have experience repairing fryers, broilers, toasters, holding equipment, plumbing systems, and other commercial kitchen equipment, we'd love to hear from you. This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys working independently and solving problems every day.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial restaurant equipment including fryers, broilers, toasters, and holding units
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs including faucets, drains, and fixtures
  • Complete minor electrical repairs such as plugs, cords, switches, and lighting upgrades
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Complete general interior and exterior maintenance including painting, carpentry, ceiling repairs, and tile work
  • Order and manage parts inventory as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary
  • Maintain service records and complete basic administrative documentation
  • Respond to after-hours emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation

What We're Looking For

  • Restaurant maintenance or QSR maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with commercial kitchen equipment
  • Experience repairing fryers, broilers, grills, holding equipment, and foodservice equipment
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and commercial HVAC
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, reliable, and self-motivated

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school or technical education preferred
  • 3+ years of maintenance technician experience
  • 1+ year of restaurant equipment maintenance experience
  • 1+ year of plumbing repair and troubleshooting experience
  • 1+ year of electrical troubleshooting experience
  • 1+ year of commercial HVAC knowledge
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends
