The last two years have seen unprecedented progress in social awareness and employment opportunities for all people. With this in mind, we want to recognize today and take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives due to their gender identity.

On this day, we honor those who were victims of the struggle for equality. We remember those who are no longer with us that trail blazed and paved the way for so many in the LGBTQIA+ community today. We also want to recognize transgender people who have made an impact and helped create the world we live in today. So many key figures are in leading roles in education, government, entertainment, and all facets of our lives. Here is a shortlist of outstanding individuals.
