Goodwin Hospitality Giving Back This Holiday

Goodwin Hospitality has decided to support Families in Transition (FIT) by donating needed clothing and household items to the organization this holiday season! Families in Transition was founded in 1991, as a nonprofit organization, in response to the growing number of homeless individuals and families in New Hampshire. Currently, FIT is located in Manchester, Concord, and Dover, and is committed to providing effective interventions that are designed to target homeless individuals, helping them to reach beyond the cycle of homelessness to lead a healthy and successful life.

Their mission follows: “to provide safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect.” FIT strongly believes that a basic right of being a human is having a home, and by helping these individuals get their life back it allows them to become contributing members of the community.

For more information on how to donate, whether it is money or clothing, click here! Our team will be donating new and used clothing to their thrift store OutFITers . They also accept domestic items (such as linens, curtains, etc.), books and housewares. Brand new items go to the families themselves, while gently used items are donated to the thrift store.

Give back to your community by supporting Families in Transition this holiday season!
